Dawn Handschuh
Dawn Handschuh has earned a living putting pen to paper for 25 years, including 10 years in financial services, where she wrote widely on retirement planning, personal finance and specific investment products such as annuities, mutual funds and 401k plans.
While at the National Insurance Crime Bureau, she focused on insurance fraud, writing for both consumers and the insurance industry on arson, staged car accidents and other insurance fraud investigations. She has also written extensively on the real estate industry.
Armed with a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College, she got her start as a journalist at newspapers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, where, as a cub reporter, she interviewed Senators George McGovern and John Glenn during the 1984 presidential primary. She was first published at the age of 12 in Dog Fancy magazine. She is an avid kayaker, gardener and cook.
